The Peyton Manning Effect

peyton16.jpg

Just about all of us know the name Peyton Manning. For those of you who aren't as familiar, he's an NFL quarterback putting on the greatest performance in a season so far that the league has ever seen. He is best known for his preparation and near-perfect execution leading his team out on the field. He has been setting records left and right since the beginning of the season. The Broncos are 5-0 and aren't slowing down. But I want to point out some things I have noticed about Peyton during games, particularly Sunday's instant classic against the Cowboys, that make him a winning machine.

Peyton's focus and discipline on and off the field goes unmatched. If you watch him during the heat of a game, his mind is constantly gearing up for his next series. He has one goal: score every time the Broncos get the ball. Every single time. That is it. Nothing can get his mind off of his task. If something/someone doesn't have anything to do with scoring on the next drive, it might as well not exist at that point in time to him. He takes one series at a time, one snap at a time with his mind trained on his goal, then at the end of the game when he looks up at the scoreboard, they have 51 points and set more records.

Another thing: when he messes up and throws an interception (a very rare occasion), he'll shake his head and acknowledge the mistake, but then return immediately back to his spot on the bench to focus on his next drive. As a matter of fact, when you watch him sitting there preparing for the next drive, you can't even tell if he just threw a touchdown or an interception on the previous drive. He has conditioned his mind to be trained on his one goal of getting the ball in the endzone; he doesn't get too high or too low emotionally during a game. Why? He's too busy looking forward.

Set a daily goal for yourself. Work hard and focus on reaching that goal. When you stumble, acknowledge it and learn from it, but then turn your thoughts and focus on your next effort to reach that goal. Prepare both mentally and physically, stay disciplined, and be focused on the task at hand so that when obstacles appear you are equipped to face them head on whether it happens to be a 260 pound linebacker or something else. This level of focus will allow you to Venture On and never settle when it matters most. That's the Peyton Manning effect; that is Venture On.

Until next time.

Circumstances

download.jpg

The past couple weeks have been busy, but awesome. We are editing our first set of stories that we captured on camera which we described on our last post. We are also redesigning our website, have redesigned the logo, and are on our way to lining up the next video shoot. With that said, I want to talk a little bit about circumstances. It can be a touchy subject for some, but let's give it a shot.

There's a quote that I saw the other day that made me give a big fist pump:

"I am not a product of my circumstances. I am a product of my decisions." - Stephen Covey

A lot of people believe that people are products of their environment. I believe this is true... to an extent. The environment that we have around us does have an effect on us, whether positive or negative. It is much more difficult for an individual to thrive when the environment around that individual is thwarting, suffocating, and offers little to no proverbial soil for them to grow. Time and energy is spent fighting their surroundings instead of focused on progress and making dreams realities. I imagine that it can be exhausting fighting this battle daily. If you are in this kind of environment, make the decision to get out or you will be stifled in many different ways. Whether it's a place, the friends you choose to keep you company, or the content (books, articles, music, movies, tv, radio, conversations, thoughts, etc.) you let enter your mind daily, make the choice to kick out the poisons in your life and fill it with hope and things that inspireCondition your mind.

What I don't like to hear is when people use their circumstances as an excuse as to why they either are not pursuing a dream or why they never made the pursuit in the first place. The only way someone or some thing, like a circumstance, drags you down and keeps you there is if you let it. It's you. As mentioned above, change your environment if that's what it takes to change, but the root of it all is in you. And once you accept and digest that, then you can truly start to move forward.

Yesterday I had the privilege of speaking with an individual who came from very little: no money, no parents, no support. Since then he has gone on to work his way into Harvard, graduate (from the #1 university in the world), play in the NFL for several years, go back to Harvard for his graduate degree, and has now started his own company. You'll hear from him; he's coming in the studio in the next couple of weeks to share his story with you on camera. He is a pure testament to overcoming obstacles and creating his own circumstances. He could have very easily rolled over and told himself a long time ago that he was just dealt a bad hand in life and there's nothing he can do about it. Nah, he Ventured On and did not settle. We hope you do the same.

Until next time.

All Walks of Life

Yesterday was a big day for Venture On as we successfully had our first video shoot capturing some amazing stories! We had the privilege of interacting with and capturing the stories of three amazing people:

Hobar.jpg

Matthew Hobar

 (UFC fighter)

Clint Bruce

 (ex-Navy SEAL, Trident Response Group)

Monika Korra

(champion long distance runner, Monika Korra Foundation)

We will be editing all of the content over the next few weeks and will release them accordingly on our website.

What is truly amazing to see is how these three individuals all came from different walks of life but are unified in their quests, journeys, struggles, challenges, and endeavors. They all had a story to tell, each filled with incredible but different events, viewpoints and challenges, but each completely identified with each other. THAT is Venture On. It does not matter who you are, what you are doing, or what you are going through; the Venture On mindset and lifestyle can be applied to anyone and anything. We hope that it continues to unify and encourage people from all walks of life.

We are excited to share these videos with you in the upcoming weeks, but until then, work hard, endure, and Venture On.

Never Settle.

Learning from Tinseltown

This past weekend I had the privilege of interacting and spending time with some high profile actors, including Alex Russell (one of the leads in the recent movie Chronicle) and Christopher McDonald (you probably know him as Shooter McGavin on Happy Gilmore), on set. From watching them in action, both on and off camera, I picked up on a few things that I would like to share with you that we can all apply to our lives.

First off, they are absolute masters of their craft. Watching how they prepared for a scene and witnessing the level of intensity in both their preparation and performance was remarkable. I never knew how much thought, time, and energy was put into each word that they speak and movement they make. It was incredibly liberating to watch. Why do I use the word liberating? As I watched Alex and Chris do their thing, it subconsciously reinforced in me that it is more than OK to go for it. Their confidence on-screen comes from their preparation, thought process, and energy invested in their role off-screen. The old saying "our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate; our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure," comes to mind (more to come in the future on this quote). Fight and win your battle mentally before taking one step onto the battlefield so that when the time comes to put thought into action, you have already seen yourself "win" and know what succeeding looks & feels like. In turn, you have trained your mind to subconsciously know that what you are pursuing is possible and eventually turn into a self-fulfilling prophecy. These actors are pros at this; that's a big reason why they have reached such great success in their careers.

Second off, these great actors surround themselves with the most capable people that they can find. In other words, behind every great character you have ever seen on the big screen is a small army of incredibly talented people who help that character reach his or her potential. Yes, the actor/actress has to nail the performance, but that is only half of it. An A-list performance requires an amazingly dedicated director, a selfless supporting cast, an unwavering set crew, a masterful camera crew, incredibly talented writers, a great lighting team, an impeccable sound crew, tasteful costume designers, a makeup artist who knows what they are doing, and an acting coach that has a true impact on their performance (and that is to name just a few of the pieces of the puzzle behind the scenes). Just like any President, actors are only as good as the people they surround themselves with. That's why when you hear them say, "I am truly lucky to work with such talented people," they probably mean it.

So what are the takeaways? You have to be unbelievably dedicated to your craft, whatever it may be. Along with physically mastering a craft, you have to get to a mental state that is higher and more focused than you think in order to truly be great. Block out any distractions, any doubts, and free yourself from any proverbial chains that could hold you back from reaching your peak performance. When it is showtime, you've already "nailed it" in your preparations and in your mind's eye, so go forth and "do" with confidence. And as you prepare, surround yourself with the best people you can find in your field. Don't be afraid to ask for counsel. I can assure you that to whomever you are reaching out, they have been in your shoes and can identify with your request more than you may think. Don't miss out on an opportunity because you were too afraid to ask.

Through intense preparation and a strong supporting cast, your chances of digging deeper and Venturing On when times get tough increase dramatically. That's what it's all about. Give yourself the confidence (different from arrogance) you need to never settle when sailing through rough waters.

The 5 Known Things in the Universe

As I walked my dog last night, I was listening to another series by Napoleon Hill. I wish I could simply transcribe everything the man says and share it with you, but that's just not realistic. However, I will share a portion of last night's lesson. For all of you with a dream/goal for which you are simply wishing would become a reality, continue reading.

"There are only 5 known things in the universe, just 5, and out of those 5 is shaped everything that is in existence. There's time and there's space. There's energy and there's matter. And those 4 things would be no good without the 5th thing; there would be nothing, everything would be chaos. You and I never could have existed without that 5th thing: a universal intelligence. It reflects itself in every blade of grass, everything that grows out of the ground and all of the electrons, protons, and matter. It reflects itself in space and in time and in everything there is. There is intelligence operating all of the time. And the person who is most successful is the one who finds ways and means of appropriating most of this intelligence and putting it into action.

This intelligence permeates the whole universe: space, time, matter, energy... everything else. And every individual has the privilege of appropriating to his/her own use as much of this intelligence as he/she chooses, but he/she can only appropriate it by using it. Just understanding in it or believing in it is not enough. You've got to put it into specialized use in some form." - Napoleon Hill

In other words, you can dream it, conceive it, think about it, practice it, dwell on it, plan for it, tell people about it, and meditate on it, but it, whatever it may be, will never materialize until you put it into action and do so intelligently. What do I mean by intelligently? For starters, see The Architect, a previous blog.

Keep dreaming and aiming high, but eventually you are going to have to pull the trigger by putting it into action intelligently. Overcome your fears. Overcome whatever is holding you back from pursuing. Venture On during times of uncertainty and don't stop acting on your goal(s) until you have succeeded. Never settle.

Discipline: Learning from the SEALs

Sorry about the gap in posts, been workin' hard ;)

Today I think it is important that we focus on a word that everyone needs to make a conscious effort to have more of: DISCIPLINE.

The US Navy SEALs (Sea, Air & Land) are some of the most feared, elite warriors in the entire world. This is most likely because they are one of the most well-trained groups of men on the face of the planet. Before they even see any action on the battlefield, they have to endure years of training that forges a lifestyle of discipline. Preparation alone consists of more than 12 months of initial training that includes Basic Underwater Demolition / SEAL BUD/S School, Parachute Jump School and SEAL Qualification Training (SQT), followed by an additional 18 months of pre-deployment training and intensive specialized training. Everything in training is designed to push the trainees to their physical and mental limits. Believe it or not, there are options for even more training after that. So what's the point?

The SEAL program only wants the most disciplined of all men because in their working environment, there is no margin for error. Even more importantly, when the bullets start flying and mayhem breaks out in a combat situation, the SEALs do not break form and do not panic. They move as a unit, communicate as a unit, work as a unit, and win as a unit. They have so much discipline that no matter what is thrown their way, they never break... ever. They are prepared for anything. That is why they are so successful. They is why they are so greatly feared by enemies.

Now look at your life through the SEAL lens. How much discipline do you implement into your life? In your business? In your training? In your preparation? How much do your enemies/competitors fear you because of your discipline? I argue that you should practice discipline in every area of your life: work ethic, personal relations, fitness & health, diet, everything. It will make all of the difference in the world, I guarantee it. Be disciplined so that when the proverbial bullets start flying over your head, no matter what your mission/goal is, you will have the confidence and courage to persist, Venture On and never settle because you are ready for it.

The Architect

So you've found a dream worth pursuing. You've found that something that makes you tick. You've found something that makes you despise getting in bed every night because going to sleep merely takes you away from making any progress but find you pop up out of bed because you cannot wait to start your pursuit for the day. You know what you want to accomplish, but how do you get there?

Let's examine the architect.

Architects, especially the good ones, are the best in the world at making visions become realities. Some of the things that they wind up creating are feats that the general population never even knew was possible. They break through barriers throughout every single project, and overcome obstacles every single day. Nowadays, they can build just about anything that can be conceived, and know they can do it before the hard hats ever come into the picture. How do they do it?

Behind every single successful build is a master plan: a blueprint. Before a single brick is laid or a foundation poured, hours upon hours upon hours of preparation  and planning are dedicated towards creating the guide of exactly how that architect will turn that mound of dirt into a spectacularly finished product. That blueprint acts ass the guidance and answers all foreseeable questions that may arise mid-project. However, as we all know, no project goes exactly as planned. Some obstacle always pops up and the architect simply finds a solution around it. "Easier said than done", right? I suppose, but one thing is for certain. Before that problem ever popped up, the architect was ready. He/she didn't know exactly what the problem was going to be but 1) was anticipating something springing up, 2) was mentally prepared for that something to be anything under the sun, and 3) was physically prepared because the architect already had mapped out exactly what the end product would look like. The blueprint made the architect visualize every single little detail, every rivet, of the finished project. The architect already knew that it could be done without a doubt in mind. That's why they are able to overcome any obstacle that pops up.

Create a blueprint for your goals. I mean a detailed, well thought out, physically written out blueprint. No matter how cheesy you may think it is, look at it everyday. It is just another way for you to prove to your subconscious mind that whatever you are pursuing is possible. That way when the going gets tough, it doesn't phase you. You have the faith needed to dig deeper, Venture On, and never settle because you've already visualized and seen whatever you are pursuing in a  finished state, just like the architect.

"We are all called to be architects of the future, not victims." - R. Buckminster Fuller

Non-Profit Process Has Begun!

Hey everyone! We just wanted to give everyone a quick update on what we have been working on lately.

As of today, we have started the process of becoming a Non-Profit organization! Why is that important?

Well, for starters, we are all about the message that we are spreading. We believe so much in what we are doing that profit is not our main concern. We also want to be able to partner with sponsors that best represent and align with our message. We will be relying on our sponsors to help fuel our video productions and help bring in great, interesting people who have incredible stories to tell about how they have Ventured On. Becoming a Non-Profit opens up the possibilities of who we can partner with in order to accomplish our #1 goal (creating these productions to spread the Venture On message).

We want people everywhere to become confident enough to chase any goal or dream, shedding any fear or hesitation, and shoot for the stars. That's the only way they will ever reach their potential. So, we will be Venturing On as a Non-Profit. If you think you or your corporation would like to be a sponsor, please contact us at: Contact@VentureOn.org. If not, no worries! Simply stay tuned as we continue to come out with updates!

Find Your Dragon

I am a true believer that in order for anybody to truly have the Venture On spirit, they must wake up every morning on a mission: a mission to slay the dragon standing in front of them. What do I mean?

Just about every little boy's favorite daydreams in the world was the thought of a town coming under attack by a fire-breathing dragon (that's not it, keep reading). Everyone in the town ran inside, locked their doors, closed the blinds, and hid in their homes. It was up to the boy to have the courage to pick up a sword and go out and fight the dragon in the (cliche) pouring down rain. After hours and hours of battle and many brushes with death, he overcame the odds and slayed the dragon. He walked away from the battlefield with cuts, bruises, and clothes shredded to mere soaking, wet rags. He was exhausted from the fight and barely had the strength or energy to hold myself up. But he had done it.

Cheesy, I know...

When we were little we had dragons to "overcome". Generally speaking, as we get older those dragons seem to disappear. Life gets in the way, and we become more pessimistic for some reason. Our ambitions decline and our sights are lowered from the stars back down to the ground. Why? Our goals and dreams should get bigger as we become more capable, become wiser and gain more knowledge. And with that, our dragons should get bigger and should breath more fire. The challenges that we set out to conquer should be bigger than the last. Otherwise, what's the point? What do you get up for each and every day? Some people naturally have a drive to challenge themselves and push their limits while others feel completely out of their comfort zone when they do so.

I encourage you to get out of your comfort zone; that's when you grow the most. Find your passion, pick up your sword. Set goals high and go after it. If you're just wishing "it" would just show up on your front doorstep, then your goals will simply remain as dreams. No one is going to do it for you. It's your dragon to slay, after all. And it's going to be hard. It's going to be exhausting. And there's going to be some rain, bumps, cuts, and bruises along the way, but that's how you learn. That's how you get better.

Go out and find your dragon. Venture On as you brave through the elements wielding your sword, and don't stop until you have overcome. Don't stop until you have slayed your dragon. And when you succeed, go find a bigger one and fight even harder. Don't stop... never settle.

The path less traveled

It's a tough decision to start the pursuit of your passion. It can be an unbelievably daunting task. The decision alone to embark on such an endeavor is challenging. It's only the beginning of tough decision making.

There comes a time in everyone's pursuit where they come to a fork in the road. There are two options going forward and a decision has to be made. One direction is well lit, well defined, is smoothly paved, has great visibility of what lies up ahead, and appears to be the road that will take you the highest. This is the road that almost everyone takes. It is "safe". The other road is dark, not well defined, a little scary, and filled with overhangs and hazards. This is the path less traveled.

When the journey gets tough, it is so easy to choose the first path because it will make everything "easier". In other words, when obstacles spring up, a lot of people give up on their vision. They see an out and they take it. They are out of their comfort zone so their mind starts leaning back towards "the known". Plus, they feel somewhat already fulfilled because they took the initiative to embark on the journey. That's good enough for them and they are satisfied. They gave it a shot.

Don't be this kind of person. Think of every pioneer that you admire. Somewhere along the line they came to a fork in the road (or most likely several) and despite the elements and the uncertainty, they took the path less traveled. When circumstances grew more difficult, they voluntarily chose to make themselves even more uncomfortable. They were fully committed and did whatever it took to make their dreams realities. That is the very reason we still speak of them today.

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
              - Robert Frost

When times get tough, push even harder. Take the path less traveled. Choose to Venture On... and never settle. It will make all the difference.

Hope

I woke up this morning excited for the day. I popped up out of bed and there's a skip in my step. I went to bed last night absolutely exhausted. I fell asleep reading Venture Deals by Brad Feld (thank you for the recommendation, Ryan Smith! Great read for any entrepreneur looking to raise money). As I fell asleep I pictured my goals and envisioned them completed and what that will feel like. The feeling was immense. What felt just as good was that when I laid down and my head hit the pillow, I knew that I had gone to battle that day, fought as hard and as long as I could and did everything in my power to make that dream a reality. I was one step closer, and today will be a repeat of yesterday. I'm excited to pick up my sword and shield again today and make my way back to the battlefield. It's going to be a good day.

I hope that you feel the same way when you wake up in the mornings. I hope that you have something you believe in so much that it drives you to work through the blood, sweat, and tears and find a way through anything that gets in your way. I hope... that you have hope and hold on to it as you ride out the storms.

Picture what you want to accomplish in life. And I'm not talking about getting cars, money, and things. Picture what you want to achieve. Write it down, pin it up, and look at it everyday. Have the courage to pursue it with everything you've got. And take hope. Hope alone is not enough, but it is essential.

"Hope is the thing with feathers
 That perches in the soul
And sings the tune without the words
 And never stops at all."
-Emily Dickinson

You heard it from Emily first. Never stop. Take on enough hope to Venture On... and never settle.

You can never, ever stop

Over the weekend I heard an incredible account of an entrepreneur's path to success. His story was like a rollercoaster ride at Six Flags.

When he started out pursing his passion of starting companies, he was married with two kids and was working night and day to provide for his family through his pursuit. He fell flat on his face time, after time, after time, etc. He would start a new business and would give it everything he had to make it successful, but it wasn't enough at the time. It got to the point to where he and his family had put everything into this pursuit, which unfortunately led to he and his wife filing for personal bankruptcy. But he still believed, and still pursued. Thankfully, he had a wife that supported him 100% through thick and thin.

After getting back on their feet, he pushed even harder instead of giving up. You know where the story goes from here. He succeeded through his next several ventures. Any fear of failure had left him because he knew what it was like to hit rock-bottom and knew he could will himself to get right back up. He is now a very successful entrepreneur that has had several exits. His advice:

"You can never, ever stop trying. If you stop, you guarantee failure. The key to my success was that I never gave up and never stopped trying. And I wasn't going to stop trying until I succeeded. That is why my story is a success story."

Be smart about how you pursue your passions, but never stop. Never settle. Venture on.

Keep Shooting

Today I want to take a look arguably the greatest basketball player to ever live: Michael Jordan. He is one of my favorite competitors, if not my absolute favorite, of all time. His will to win, no matter what sport or event he is competing in, is greater than any of his competitor's, no matter who they are. His determination and focus goes unmatched. No matter how many times he missed a shot, he wanted to the ball back and was going to shoot again. And on that next shot he knew was going to make it, regardless of what 7 foot giant stood in his way. His misses NEVER put any doubt in his mind of what he was capable of, ever.

"I have missed more than 9,000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. 26 times I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed." -Michael Jordan

Do not stop taking shots in life, no matter how many times you've missed. Do not let your previously missed shot affect your confidence in your ability to make the next one you take. Coming from the greatest basketball player ever, you'd be a fool not to take his advice.

Venture On. Keep shooting. Never settle.

Condition Your Mind

Last night I stumbled across one of the most interesting, relevant, influential lecturers I have ever heard. His name is Napoleon Hill. I was on Spotify looking for a good lecture series and happened to come across several of his recordings. He's old school with a... unique voice, but the man spits truth and wisdom. Some of the titles suggest that it is all about getting rich and making money; this is NOT the case (however, you can apply his messages to that purpose if you choose). One thing that he said in a lecture I listened to last night is that success is a choice. Whatever you define is success, whatever your goals are, it is simply a choice whether or not you reach them. There is not an outside force or third party that can keep you from reaching them if you truly believe and try hard enough. Success is a mindset. It is a condition that we must program our mind to subconsciously believe that we will succeed no matter what, so that when the hard times come during our ventures we automatically block out any negativity or doubts.

In fact, he says that the only reason people fail is because their conviction weakens and they simply give up. Their minds were not prepared; they simply chose to quit. Some of us give up after only a handful of people tell us no. The ones who do succeed and do overcome any obstacle in their path, no matter how big or small, no matter how many pop up, have ingrained so deeply in their mind that they will succeed no matter what happens that they fulfill their own prophecy. Obstacles and doubters don't even phase them. As a matter of fact, each "no" causes them to fight for whatever it is they are pursuing that much more. They have conditioned their mind to simply not accept failure, not matter what. They are the prime examples of the Venture On mindset.

Condition your mind. Do not accept failure. Never settle.

America's Foundation and Level of Belief

This 4th of July, I read, watched, and listened to the history of the Revolutionary War in order to refresh my memory on how America was founded. The story is absolutely amazing. The underlying message of the American pioneering spirit began day 1 with our Founding Fathers. Anybody pursuing their passion should take a page out of America's history book.

Here we were, 13 colonies in a new world filled with wilderness and the unknown. In 1776, we, a relatively brand new startup, declared our independence from the most powerful nation in the world. Our Founding Fathers created a framework from scratch (that we use to this day) of how this country would run, knowing well that complete failure, humiliation, and death was the most likely outcome as a result of them signing their names at the bottom of what is now one of the most famous documents in the world. There were many points throughout the war, especially in the beginning, where the story could have ended very differently. The British had numbers, weapons, supplies, ships, military structure & training, commanders, cavalry, etc. etc. etc. The colonists had a makeshift band of revolutionaries from different colonies willing to fight, most of whom had to melt down their pots, pans, and fire-pokers in order to create ammunition. But they had passion. They pursued, endured, and truly believed in their cause. In fact, they believed in their cause so much that the movement was embodied by Patrick Henry's famous cry of "Give me liberty or give me death" in response to the beginning of the war. After several years of seeing this undaunted, immovable, growing level of belief and commitment, King George III threw in the towel (maybe back in the day he "threw in his hanky"). America, one of the greatest nations the world has ever seen, was born.

Rise up. No matter how big your enemy or how big your obstacle is, show it no mercy and do not back down. Want it more. Dare to change the world as the Founding Fathers and colonists did.

Stay Hungry. Stay Foolish.

In his commencement speech to the 2005 Stanford graduates, Steve Jobs ended with a quote from Whole Earth Magazine: "Stay hungry. Stay foolish."

I have this written on a picture hanging on my wall over my computer as a daily reminder of how I should pursue my passions day in and day out. What an incredibly loaded, simplified message. What he is encouraging us to do is to never stop challenging convention, to never stop pushing our limits and testing boundaries. We should never settle and live life to the fullest, maximizing each gift that we have been given. And as we pursue our passions, be aware of any dangers or pitfalls, but do not let them slow you down in the slightest. Pursue with vigor and determination. It is how we learn best. It is how we grow, both individually and collectively. That is what Venture On is all about.

Stay hungry. Stay foolish.

www.VentureOn.org

Hey everyone,

When's the last time you challenged yourself? I mean really had to dig deep, fight through, and endure something you voluntarily put yourself through. When is the last time you ignored any critics and pursued a passion of yours? And not just kinda tried it out... I mean really pursued it and really wanted it.

A lot of people float through life. Many try and stay as close to the safe and comfortable as they can. Some are like electrons trying to find the path of least resistance. There are only a select few who not only welcome challenges... they seek them out. These are the ones who change the world because they are crazy enough to believe they can.

Venture On is a movement that embodies this pioneering spirit. It is one that encourages everyone to look deep inside themselves and find their passion. We want you to find what makes YOU tick, and then pursue it with everything you've got. Be bold, dream big, and challenge yourself. The harder the challenge, the better. Only an immense amount of heat and pressure can turn dust into diamonds. Do not sell yourself short; you are capable of doing a lot more than you think. The only way to find out is to demand the most of yourself, take on the challenge of pursuing your passion, and when the going gets tough, dare to Venture On.

To give you a better idea of what we mean, we will be bringing in people to give their personal stories of their ventures and how they left everything they had out on the field, both literally and figuratively. Learn from them. They will tell you their first hand accounts and paint a clear picture of what it means to "give it everything you've got".

Until we get people into the studio, we will be posting relevant videos to our site, www.VentureOn.org. Follow our blog, check out our site. Much more to come.

Onward,
The Venture On Group
