I woke up this morning excited for the day. I popped up out of bed and there's a skip in my step. I went to bed last night absolutely exhausted. I fell asleep reading Venture Deals by Brad Feld (thank you for the recommendation, Ryan Smith! Great read for any entrepreneur looking to raise money). As I fell asleep I pictured my goals and envisioned them completed and what that will feel like. The feeling was immense. What felt just as good was that when I laid down and my head hit the pillow, I knew that I had gone to battle that day, fought as hard and as long as I could and did everything in my power to make that dream a reality. I was one step closer, and today will be a repeat of yesterday. I'm excited to pick up my sword and shield again today and make my way back to the battlefield. It's going to be a good day.
I hope that you feel the same way when you wake up in the mornings. I hope that you have something you believe in so much that it drives you to work through the blood, sweat, and tears and find a way through anything that gets in your way. I hope... that you have hope and hold on to it as you ride out the storms.
Picture what you want to accomplish in life. And I'm not talking about getting cars, money, and things. Picture what you want to achieve. Write it down, pin it up, and look at it everyday. Have the courage to pursue it with everything you've got. And take hope. Hope alone is not enough, but it is essential.
