Today I want to take a look arguably the greatest basketball player to ever live: Michael Jordan. He is one of my favorite competitors, if not my absolute favorite, of all time. His will to win, no matter what sport or event he is competing in, is greater than any of his competitor's, no matter who they are. His determination and focus goes unmatched. No matter how many times he missed a shot, he wanted to the ball back and was going to shoot again. And on that next shot he knew was going to make it, regardless of what 7 foot giant stood in his way. His misses NEVER put any doubt in his mind of what he was capable of, ever.
"I have missed more than 9,000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. 26 times I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed." -Michael Jordan
Do not stop taking shots in life, no matter how many times you've missed. Do not let your previously missed shot affect your confidence in your ability to make the next one you take. Coming from the greatest basketball player ever, you'd be a fool not to take his advice.
Venture On. Keep shooting. Never settle.
